Chris Foyle

Secretary

I was born in Kent (UK) where I qualified as a Junior Medical Technologis.  I married in 1971 and migrated to WA in the same year. After six years working at the Red Cross Blood Bank laboratory, leaving to raise two children, I decided to change careers. I studied part-time for six years to gain qualifications in Computing which led to a 20 year career in various Computer Support Roles.

I started singing at primary school and joined the village church choir at the age of nine, continuing with church and school choirs until the age of 19. I returned to singing by joining the Mandurah City Choir and, after moving closer to Perth, joined the CSC in 1992.

Eva Schluchter

Treasurer

Eva was born in Baden, Switzerland where she trained as a primary school teacher and had her first training in choir singing.  After the birth of her three sons, Eva returned to teaching but later became a politician.  At the same time, she sang with the ProArte choir in Berne.

In 2005, Eva immigrated to Australia where she completed a qualification in Tourism and currently works in administration at UWA.

Eva joined CSC when she moved to Perth.

Michael Ryan

Director

Michael is a solicitor and singer with the CSC.

Bettine Heathcote

Director

Bettine Heathcote has been involved in singing since a small child, with a family heavily involved in stage productions of musical comedy and choral singing.  At an early age Bettine performed in concerts held to raise funds for “comfort supplies” to the troops during WW2.  Singing was a favourite pastime at school and Bettine participated in school choirs and was selected to sing solo parts.

After leaving school Bettine took voice lessons and joined the Gilbert and Sullivan Society where she was elected to the Management Committee.  Later she joined the choir at Wesley Church where she sang for 20 years.

In her working life Bettine was the Manager of a community based program which led her to join the Council on the Ageing where she has been on the Board for many years.

A choir such as Collegium Symphonic Chorus needs people willing to volunteer their time to ensure its smooth running.  With her love of singing and experience gained in other organisations, Bettine was pleased to accept nomination to this Board.
